Ice Cube and Mike Epps are taking the Friday legacy to the stage. The two are headlining a one-night-only hip-hop and comedy event called Everyday's Friday: Lyrics, Lougin' and Laughing on July 17 at the Long Beach Amphitheater, marking 30 years since the 1995 cult classic hit theaters.

The show will include Warren G and Scarface of the Geto Boys as special musical guests, plus a lineup of comedians still to be announced. Cube said in a statement that the night represents "the beginning of the next chapter," which lines up with ongoing reports that a fourth Friday film, tentatively titled Last Friday, is in development.

Tickets go on pre-sale Thursday, May 15 at 10 a.m. local time through Live Nation's All Access membership program, with general on-sale opening Friday, May 16 at the same time.

What the Friday Anniversary Show Means for Hip-Hop Culture

Friday was never just a movie. It was a West Coast cultural document, and its soundtrack helped define a specific lane of laid-back, neighborhood-rooted rap that shaped how artists told stories from the block. Cube and DJ Pooh wrote it. F. Gary Gray directed it. And it launched careers and catchphrases that are still in rotation three decades later.

The show is also a reminder of what live event experiences built around IP and culture can look like when done right. A costume contest with $2,000 on the line, comedy, legacy rap acts, and a movie anniversary all packaged into one night. That is a blueprint worth studying.

For independent artists and event producers, this is a masterclass in community-driven programming. You do not need a stadium tour to create a moment. You need a real connection to a specific audience and the clarity to build an experience around something they already love.

If you are putting together live experiences with that same intention, [check out what we have coming up](/events) and see where you fit in the lineup.

Watch for the Last Friday announcement. If Cube is calling this show "the beginning of the next chapter," that fourth film may be closer than anyone expected.
